Best Practices

  • The above logos are recommended specifically for web use; other colors and orientations exist but are less optimal.
  • Center horizontally in layouts whenever possible; this will best match the centered nature of the logo.
  • Pair three-color logo with light backgrounds, gold logo with light or dark backgrounds and white logo with dark backgrounds.
  • Use the logo as a single piece, including tagline and registered trademark symbol; never typeset or piece together. You can request a logo on University Marketing's website.

Avoid

  • It's not necessary to use the primary logo at the top of your design. Due to its size this is often not optimal; don't force it.
  • Don't make the logo too big or too small on any screen; optimal size is between 220-380px.
  • Avoid using on image backgrounds.
